Dr. Jonathan, Misty and Taylor are the
Most amazing people. We had 5 VERY sick dogs. It was like they all had the cruise ship virus. 🦠 We made 3 back to back trips to Community Critter Care and all we have to say is BRAVO!! We were treated like Family and they made us feel super important. We HIGHLY Recommend them and all of our puppies are now feeling so much better! Thank you 🙏 all!

Absolutely the best!! The most caring and lovable doctor. Very affordable. I moved from manassas to front royal and it’s worth the drive. We have known him for 17 years. We love him and his staff

Community Critter Care (Dr. John Magerkorth) is the best veterinary practice I’ve ever worked with. The entire staff is so caring and patient with my pets. Dr. John goes above and beyond to explain everything (and he has a great sense of humor.) You can really tell that they are in veterinary care because they truly love all animals. They have been wonderful with both my dog and cat.

Dr. Magerkorth is definitely the best vet in this area. . It’s worth the drive to Catlett. He really takes the time to discuss the needs of my dog. Such a great place!

This was the first time coming to Community Critter Care, and I was really excited to take my dog here because of all the good reviews, but this Veterinary met all my expectations and more. Dr. Magerkorth is an amazing veterinarian and explained everything to me about my pet, and Taylor was also amazing with how she treated me and my dog, thank you so much, will definitely be coming back here as my regular veterinarian.

My husband has taken his dog here for years and liked the vet but I have worked in veterinary services for 10 years and his staff seems nice but very undereducated and he seems to not have compassion for the animals and just does what’s best for themselves. He seems to do what’s most convenient for people. The moment he tried to talk me out of getting vaccines for my pet I knew it was a red flag but it wasn’t until our 5 year old German shepherd became sick that we had made a big mistake going here….
For years (3 or more) we have been telling everyone at this center that our shepherd had started throwing up once every 3-4weeks the vet NEVER ran any tests and didn’t recommend any care such as bloodwork or suggestions for anything else they all simply stated “he probably just has a sensitive stomach and it isn’t a big deal” it wasn’t until we called to make an appointment due to him being sick they couldn’t get me in until 430pm the next day and even then stated the spot wasn’t guaranteed due to surgeries… I finally took him to MY vet in Bristow and it took them all of 30min to tell us our shepherd had terminal cancer… this cancer had started in his stomach, led into his chest and lungs and was growing up the back side of his head into his eye… we had to euthanize him a week after that. The care and compassion we received from my other vet was undeniably better than we ever got from this place. My husband and I wonder now if the entire time he was vomiting if it was his way of telling us about the cancer and the doctor and staff here completely ignored it and we if we ever had a chance to save him. Was he in pain this entire time and hid it? Why did the vet not do ANYTHING This dog was like our child and we have been grieving nonstop and it’s been hard but I will never forgive this place for turning us away and doing NOTHING when there’s always an answer to do SOMETHING! Bloodwork would have shown elevated levels and prompted more testing.
It’s also sad that two weeks to finding this out I had two friends tell me to be careful here because this facility killed their pets during simple procedures. I should have listened not that it would have changed his condition.

In response to your comment below:
Yes, my husband brought our other dog in for a knee surgery/procedure that was being done by a specialist OUTSIDE of your facility that we had set up months prior. We had the discussion of whether or not we plan on taking him back here but the fact that it took us months to get the surgery set up for him and he was in pain was our only concern. Not to mention the fact that you guys had called us the day before and got nasty with us, threatening to cancel the surgery if we didn’t confirm it, even though we had already confirmed it the day before and it was your facilities error and mistake that you didn’t document that. My husband has handled everything with the surgery. I will not be coming back with our other dogs.
There are too many mishaps and errors that you guys have made that have put us through loopholes having to call you guys back and correct them.
You guys also put the wrong milligram carprofen medication in his bottle after his surgery. There were a few 75 mg mixed in with 100 mg. Check your bottles because that’s a lawsuit waiting to happen if you double dose a smaller dog up with the wrong medication.

This group was so professional and warm with our labradoodle, Cholula. Dr. M was knowledgeable, organized, and patient. He took the time to thoroughly explain everything. They were also quite accommodating with a last minute request. Thank you, Dr!! Highly recommend to all owners of fur babies!
