Wonderful staff. The techs and the vet made sure we understood any issues. With medication, vet gave us options of purchasing somewhere else. They didn’t push buying medication from them like most vets. Great experience.

We have been using Gunston Animal Hospital since moving from Alaska (6 years). Even though we bought a house in Maryland, we refused to use another Vet that was closer. We make the drive to Lorton. They have a WONDERFUL staff and the Doc is always aware of our pets health. We had one cat the was put down. The assistance in this matter was compassionate. 3 more cats still live in our home. Its nice to walk in and they know exactly how our kiddies ate doing. They also guide us in maintaining our oldest cat to live longer. There have been a few operations and the kids have come out beautifully. They are a place that cares. We even adopted one of the cats that lived at the hospital. You couldn’t ask for a better place to go.
I normally don’t write reviews, but sometime you just have to stop and do a shout out about the good in life that you experience. I find that Gunston Animal Hospital was worth is my time!

My pup recently turned a year old. He is mischievous and gets into everything and has had a few mishaps from being too energetic or overly curious and I’ve had to make quite a few Veterinary appointments with the year. Each time I come, the front desk staff is so nice and professional! I don’t know all of their names but to name a few, Noah and Linda are among the making staff. All the technicians are so friendly and gentle with my pup as well. We just went in Tuesday (11/26/2024) for the yearly physical and vaccinations. My provider is Dr.Reid. She always sees us when we come into the facility seeking a physician. She is hands on! Patient, kind, knowledgeable and answers any and all questions. She never rushes and also likes to laugh. We also found out my pup has a sensitive stomach and she provided me a prescription diet food and told me what supplements to use. His stomach has been under control ever since! This is a great clinic. Years ago I had a dog who lived up to 17years old and this was his clinic back in the late 1980’s-2000s. My go to clinic! Thank you Gunston Animal Hospital! 😊

I've been bringing my fur babies here for over 7 years having everything from annual exams to surgeries performed and the care has always been consistent. I've never doubting entrusting the them with my fur babies care. Highly recommend.

For anyone wondering if they should bring their pets here, please do it. I am so grateful to have this vet nearby to bring my two cats, because not once have I had a bad experience. The staff and veterinarians genuinely care about your pets. I have heard so many horror stories from other vets in this area, such as Banfield and Pet Medical Center.

First off, I want to thank all the staff and doctors at Gunston Animal Hospital for being so amazing. A shoutout to Noah, Jennifer, and Katie for always answering my questions so patiently. My cats are my everything, so I can be anxious and overly concerned, but the front desk staff and vet assistants are always patient and sweet. Another shoutout to Dr. Hurst and Dr. Reed for being amazing veterinarians. You two are so sweet and experienced. One of my cats recently had dental cleaning done, and Dr. Hurst did an amazing job as always. Additionally, Dr. Reed took time out of her schedule to look at my cat's X-ray. I cannot imagine taking my cats anywhere else!!

Absolutely the best vet care anywhere! Dr Hurst is awesome! We love the vet tech Michele! She's so good with our dog and very caring. They always have treats too! I highly recommend them!
