My cat Toulouse is very shy and scares easily. Dr. Dan Shillito was so gentle and patient with him and while he wasn’t thrilled to be at the vet he was surprisingly chill. The whole staff is very kind and friendly and the animals seem to sense and respond to the energy there really well. Highly recommend.

This was our first visit. Based on first impressions, everything was great. There was a short wait when we arrived but there was plenty of area to wait in the waiting room. The front desk staff appeared to be engaged and happily assisted us. We were called back to see the vet about 5mins after arrival. The vet, female, mid to late 40s, very nice and seemed interested in hearing about our dog. She examined our dog and provided a treatment plan. Our visit was less that $200 which included the visit, shots for our dogs arthritis, and meds to take home. I felt it was very reasonable.

It’s only been one visit but so far I would recommend to others that have furry ones.

Palisades Vet has been great. They have treated both of my cats very well, whether it is vet appointments, occasional boarding stays when I am out of town, or dental work. The staff is friendly as well. I know my cats are in good hands with the people there.

Terrific staff. Techs treat my dog Max with great warmth and the care is tops. The front desk staff are always friendly and efficient. Practically no wait time. Dr. Shillito is the best vet I have had in my 75 years.

I live in Alexandria and still drive my pups into DC to care for any number of vets with PVC. I find the vets take time to listen, care, and offer various options when available. The price is high, but on par with other vets in the DMV area. And I do not feel like I am being upsold for the sake of $$.

I am a longterm client of Palisades Veterinary Clinic. The staff -- front desk personnel, technicians, medical team -- offer extraordinary service and compassionate, thoughtful care. I value the relationship my Goldens and I have had with Dr. Mazin and, upon occasion, with Dr. Shillito. The care they have offered my dogs has been excellent. Dr. Mazin is careful to explain different care options and the advantages and limitations of each one, guiding me toward a decision that is best for my dog and fully prepared to try a different approach if a change is warranted. I can't really ask for more in a vet trusted with my dog's care.
