I can’t say enough good things about PetMedic Urgent Care in Old Town. Our experience from start to finish was excellent. Everyone we encountered was friendly, kind, communicative, and thorough. I’m sure the staff is used to frantic pet owners coming in stressed and frazzled, due to the emergencies they tend to, and it brought my husband and I so much peace knowing our dog was being so lovingly taken care of. Sincerely, our experience today was one the best we’ve ever had— even better than our usual vet visits! Thank you to everyone who took care of our sweet boy. You’re awesome!!

I recently brought my dog to PetMedic Urgent Care and was truly impressed by the outstanding customer service. Despite being an urgent care facility, the visit was the quickest I’ve ever experienced. My dog had a significant limp, and I’m relieved to say she is now much better.

Dr. Gordon was exceptional—his expertise and attentive care were evident from start to finish. Although I felt a bit anxious about leaving my dog, the team’s reassurance, especially from the staff member with blue hair who was an absolute gem, put me at ease. A special thanks to the friendly and humorous front desk associate who made the visit even more pleasant.

We brought our dog here yesterday with some digestive concerns, and it turned out to be so much more serious than we anticipated. This was our first urgent care experience as dog owners. We left him with Dr. Connie, Aleeah, and the team for the day for treatment, and we got back a much healthier and happier dog in the evening. We were given extremely clear instructions on how to care for him at home, and even received a call from the team the next morning to check in on us. Our boy is recovering well and is doing so much better.

We will definitely return to this facility the next time we have any urgent concerns!

Hands down the best veterinary experience I've had in a long time. Dr. Gordon is so kind and thorough with his care. The staff was hospitable from beginning to end always checking on me and offering me something to drink. I think the best part was just the in and out aspect. So nice that I didn't have to wait forever at the ER and I could just make my appointment and get in and out quick. It's a bit more than my primary vet, but not nearly as expensive as the ER. 10/10 recommend.

I recently found a lost kitty and brought it the PedMedic for a microchip scan. Even though I arrived at 7:54 pm (6 minutes before closing!) and was seeking a free service, the staff—Terrance in particular—could not have been nicer, more helpful, or more accommodating. They even stayed after the clinic’s closing time to help me and then called the next day to check in! Truly A++ service—I will definitely seek vet care here when needed for our pets.

Fantastic staff and service. I brought my Golden in for urgent care due to a prolonged dry cough that was getting worse despite treatment through her primary vet. They were very friendly and I was able to get in right away to perform x-rays/blood tests. They gave very clear and thorough instructions on the medications they prescribed and other ways to treat symptoms. They even called the next day to check in how she was doing.

The primary radiologist also followed up the next day to update me that her diagnosis had changed based on a more thorough review of her x-rays. He was also very clear and thorough describing how her treatment plan had changed. He also recommended that I continue treating her through her primary vet instead of pushing me to come back to them.

I would definitely recommend this place for urgent care and I would even consider switching my primary care here.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Pet Medic Urgent Care in Alexandria, especially Dr. Gordon and vet assistant Alesha. They quite literally saved our dog’s life. From the moment we walked in, we felt their compassion, dedication, and genuine love for animals.

Dr. Gordon didn’t just treat our dog – he cared for him as if he were his own. His ability to explain every step in a clear, understanding way gave us so much peace during an incredibly stressful time. Alesha’s kindness and attentiveness were just as remarkable. Together, they never gave up on our fur baby, even when things felt dire.

We can never truly repay them for the care and love they poured into saving him, but we’ll always be grateful.

Brought my St Bernard in over the weekend for ear, paw infections and allergies. Best vet I’ve been to. Incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Better than my regular vet. Wish they were a regular vet! Answered my questions with patience. The techs, the doctor were great. Someone mentioned reception was not good. Alecia was incredibly friendly and informative. Can’t see this young woman being rude.
