My family and i are all very grateful for the fantastic care we received with our dog and our 2 cats. We are sad to be leaving the wonderful staff due to financial reasons, but i do highly recommend them. They helped us learn to give proper care for our senior pup who passed last year and have always been so kind to our anxious cats which led our younger boy to be very vocal and content to explore during their last visit.

Amazing staff extremely knowledgeable and caring! Always helpful when my fur babies are sick. Very helpful in giving me written scripts so I can order my pets chronic medications. I've seen both Dr. Paradise and Dr. Henigan never had a bad experience with either. Would highly recommend to others.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
DO NOT GO TO THIS VCA LOCATION if you are for going for an emergency. I should have questioned it when my normal VCA hospital didn't have any openings and others around the area. It should have made me stop and wonder why this place had numerous openings.
I don't often give reviews but I am still enraged over the visit so felt the need to warn the general public.
I have never experienced such horrible service. Here is why you should NOT go there
They do NOT listen. We explained multiple times about our 12 year old Bernese Mountain dog that we were there to get blood work so we could make a life/death decision. Instead we were given a "plan" to the tune of a few thousand dollars including but not limited to diet dog food, allergy pills, pain pills, x rays, vaccinations, blood work oh and then - if all came back negative then we would be referred to a behavioral specialist!!! If they had listened when we told them this was end of life but no - they want to lecture about the dog being overweight.
WHY? We are making an end of life decision. And when I declined the allergy pills guess what, I got home and opened the bag and yep they gave me the allergy pills and charged me $100 for them. I am livid over this. I am at fault for not reviewing the invoice while I was paying the bill but in my defense I had just helped my husband carry our 95 pound dog out to the car.
They do NOT CARE.
My dog can't walk and the floors in this place are slick with zero carpeting. From the moment we walked in my dog was sprawled out and unable to get up. Do you think ANYONE got up to help? They sat and watched us. Eventually we were brought a bath towel to use to help us hoist her up.
And after we declined everything but blood work and pain pills, we were given a urine sample cup to return a urine sample. THE DOG ISNT EATING or DRINKING. When I said it would be impossible - it was suggested I bring my dog back in - excuse me? NEVER AGAIN will my dog see the inside of that animal hospital again. She can't walk! oh and they wanted the sample within 14 days - again we are making a life or death decision.
I am horrified over the visit and the $800 bill - they are after one thing - the $$$. They do not care about animals.
And to add injury - my sweet girl is about to cross the rainbow bridge.

Love VCA Annandale and highly recommend reaching out to them for your pet's health care needs, whether it be an annual health check-up or more. Over the past 7 years, our cat Frankie was seen by Dr. Paradise, who we loved, as well as the entire staff, too! They always clearly communicated visit details and helped answer any questions that came to mind. Dr. Paradise was helpful and informative in determining what Frankie's health needs were at each visit, particularly in his last few years as an elderly cat (12-15 years). When it came time for Frankie to move on, they were extremely accommodating and supportive; could not have asked for better support during such a difficult time. Should we find ourselves with another pet in the future, we'll be returning to VCA Annandale, again.

Extremely expensive compared to the same service at petco. Got charged over $250 for 2 vaccines. And I had the first free appointment coupon. I could have gotten 5+ vaccines at petco for $188.
Very clean location though.

Unprofessional, money-focused, and lacking in customer service. They overcharged me due to their own mistakes and initially claimed there was nothing they could do to rectify it. It wasn't until I got upset and threatened to contact the corporate office that I was able to recover part of my money, and I am still waiting for the rest. Rather than apologizing they pretend as if it was just a mistake and took no accountability whatsoever, absurd. I would recommend finding another location that prioritizes people over profit. Additionally, despite three visits in two months, they were unable to diagnose what was wrong with my dog, opting instead to administer more medications and charge more money. Mismanagement and poor character.

People is very lovable. They took real care of my cooker spaniel. It was expensive, but I think everything they done was really urgent because my dog went there very weak and now he is waving his tail like a pro.
He was almost blind for a long time, and now he had improved his vision.
His ears were bothering him and now is listening everything.
I hope next time wont be so expensive, because my cats are next.

WOW, some of these reviews are strange. We have brought ALL of our pets here for 5 years now (two dogs and two cats). Recently, within the last two years both my senior dogs had gotten very sick and had to be put down (CANCER SUX). The experience here was VERY SAD but professional. Parting with a pet is one of the most heart wrenching experiences one can go through and BOTH experiences were met with respect and kindness. One of the doctors even said a prayer for us (after she asked if it was OK). I will give you it's not cheap, BUT what is your loved one worth? Do they BECOME JUST PETS when they get sick or would YOU spend a few more dollars on a family member They gave me options BOTH times and never pushed or encroached on our sad experiences in the exam room. I've been in the Army for over 20 years now I have met lots of people, an consider myself a pretty good judge of character. The two (female) doctors that helped us through these experiences were VERY professional, NOT COLD professional but KIND professional! I'll pay some extra to get great service, quality care and a nice facility any day. I give them 110% positive - I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING THERE WITH MY FAMILY AND I WHEN WE NEEDED YOU TO HELP US THROUGH THOSE HORRIBLE EVENTS. (MAXI and LIBBY RIP WE LOVE AND MISS YOU BOTH) They gave us, kindness, options, tissues, and respect.
